Juliet McGuire joins Women on Wheels
23 January 2014
Women on Wheels (WOW), an Associated Media publication, today announced the appointment of Juliet McGuire as the new online content producer.
A Cape Town native, McGuire studied film and television at City Varsity, before completing her honours degree in journalism at the University of Stellenbosch. She began her career at CAR magazine and quickly established herself as one of the leading female voices in motoring journalism, contributing to DSTV’s Ignition TV and the Techreport on eNCA.
‘I have always been passionate about cars,’ says McGuire. ‘I’ve driven more than 500 cars and attended launches in South Africa and around the world. My appointment as WOW’s online content producer marks a new and exciting chapter in my career.’
McGuire joins Charleen Clarke, who will remain the editor of WOW’s print edition, which is published with the July issues of South Africa’s leading women’s magazines – Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, O, The Oprah Magazine – and lifestyle title House and Leisure.
‘We are very excited to welcome Juliet to the team,’ says Vanessa Raphaely, content director at Associated Media Publishing. ‘Her appointment is a very clear signal that we will be investing in the WOW brand this year, and especially in its digital future.’
